Ang Ang Ki Carmine overprint

Join Roman and Simon as we do our best to test the listings made by Kerr and later by Chan. What has been missed? Which overprints have been assigned to the wrong towns? What is genuine and what is suspect? - You get the idea......

Ang Ang Ki Carmine overprint

Post by Mike »

I recently acquired part of an old MLO collection and amongst them was Kerr's Ang Ang Ki 11-14 and 25-28. There was also a carmine overprint without the red over it. Neither Kerr or Chan mention it and it would appear that it should have had the red overprint on it. Can an one throw any light on this

Cheers

Out of my mind (I don't have the Kerr catalogue around), it should be 10.13 ... or?

Thanks for your reply Roman. Ang Ang Ki Kerr 10.11-14 are hard red. You will see from my photo the bottom 4 are hard red but the top 4 are carmine. The only carmine mentioned is 10.25-26 which has a red over carmine overprint. So I am still wondering about this carmine overprint on the top four

Cheers
