Re: Kerr 91.9a

What we know is:

- full booklets does not exists, only panes
- many unlisted panes (not in Kerr) exists
- ~99% of all booklet panes does not exists commercial used

Why only booklet panes exists? I guess the answer of this question solve the the mystery of the overprinted booklet panes!

Re: Kerr 91.9a

George, is a good question if the booklet panes were made later for collectors (like the inverted Mukden overprints)? For some I may have this suspicious. Fact is: you rarely can find used booklet pane stamps on commercial covers at all and between us, I think there was never any practical need to o...

Stampless Covers

HI, is there a complete list of all towns existing which issued stampless covers? I still think I didn't get all so far.

There are also many unlisted varieties existing, for example this stampless cover from FU CHIN (Kerr 41) in blue instead of purple.

Re: What is it? Item 1

1947 is not possible, Tonghua (here I agree with you about the cancel) start to issue his own stamps (the famous Tonghua Mao issue) in August 1946. At that time the smallest denomination was already $2 (up $100 for the later issued overprinted stamps in 1947). I also have a couple of not listed stam...

Re: What is it? Item 1

The Chinese experts told me the cancel date is 1940 (1933+7) and the stamp is bogus / fake surcharge

Base on the cancel date this stamp has nothing to do with MLO and for Manchuria such overprints are unknown.

Another eBay cheater, this time located in USA, is "zh3377"

It's look like as well that he only sell forgeries.

Re: Kerr 64.1-18 ==> 124.X

If we continue the discussion for these sets.

The Kerr 124.2-3 is bit unclear for me. Was there ever demand of this small denomination of 13 and 20f in Lianjiangkou (蓮江口)? Are they from Lianjiangkou (蓮江口) at all? Does anyone saw them ever used?
