For the monkey stamp excellent forgeries existing, also included the "3D" relief print. Only by comparing with a genuine one and a oblique illumination unit plus UV light you can differ a fake or genuine stamp. No other methods really works. Don't think so is a fake. Most local stamp dealers are not qualified to make any statement about authenticity of an item.

Most Chinese stamp societies have their own online shop where you can buy stamps. Fakes are everywhere on eBay and everybody is happy to buy them for low price because geniune stamps are usually very expensive.
